My wife and I again visited Norfolk for a week's break staying at Kelling Heath. Whilst the weather was not fantastic the sun did put in an appearance and it was pleasantly warm throughout. Unlike our stay last year, the North Norfolk Railway was open and operating services but there were limitations imposed relating to access to their stations that did seem a little draconian given the general easing of COVID restrictions.

After unpacking our kit I excitedly made my way down to Weybourne station just in time to catch the last workings of the day on the North Norfolk Railway. |

Prior to our trip to Felbrigg and then on to Cromer I popped down to Weybourne station while my wife was readying herself for the day! |
||
Prior to a trip to Wells-next-the-Sea, I once again headed to Weybourne to capture the first services of the day on the North Norfolk Railway. |

As we usually do, my wife and took the train from Sheringham to Norwich just for a day out! The weather was unseasonably warm reaching the dizzy heights of eighteen degress! |
||
As my wife was suffering from a poorly knee this year I undertook the walk to Sheringham on my own with her meeting me there having driven the car. After some torrential rain in the morning, that I got caught in, the day cheered up with some pleasant autumn sunshine. |

With my wife's knee feeling a little better, we decided to walk to Holt after the morning's forecast rain had cleared through. |

With the North Norfolk Railway having no planned service trains on Fridays, I thought that yesterday's images would be the last of our week stay in Norfolk; however, I was wrong! Whilst I was packing the car I heard railway activity in the form of what I thought was the Class 37 through the trees. With my work almost done and with my wife still packing I nipped out (with her blessing of course!). Evidently, there was a private hire event for the day with a number of trains running being hauled by D6732 and 92203 'Black Prince' giving me the opportunity for a few last gasp photographs! |
