A bank holiday trip to London with my wife and son to meet my mum and her partner to celebrate mum's birthday. Due to engineering works closing the WCML necessitating the dreaded bustitution we decided to travel to London courtesey of Chiltern from King's Sutton.

1. Journey there-25.08.13 A drive to King's Sutton in order to get to London using Chiltern to Marylebone. This was due to the closure of the WCML for engineering works and hapless passengers being forced to travel by bus for part of their journies - no thank you!

2. Visit to Paddington-26.08.13 Whilst my wife and son undertook some retail therapy I nipped to Paddington for an hour or so on the tube from High Street Kensington.

3. Journey home-27.08.13 After a superb afternoon tea at The Ritz to celebrate my mum's birthday, we headed home from Marylebone but things did not go quite to plan.
