A lovely short mid-week break in London with Mrs. On The Up Fast ostensively as we won pool tickets to go to a recording of the popular and satirical Friday evening current affairs show Have I Got News For You. The recording took place at the Riverside Studios in Hammersmith so that was where we based ourselves. Despite the fact that some rail strikes were taking place travel to and from London was little affected and did not spoil our trip.

1. Journey there-02.11.22
Travelling a day earlier because of planned rail strikes meant a far more relaxed trip. On arrival in London, we took the tube (Circle Line) from Euston Square all the way to hammersmith in zone 2, I don't think that this is a journey that I have done before. Our hotel was just two minutes walk from Hammersmith station (TfL).

2. Journey home-04.11.22
Despite industrial action taking place on the railways for the day of our journey home, a reasonable hourly shuttle service was in operation from Euston northwards to Northampton. The train was strengthened to a three-sets and with what seemed like fewer travellers the train was perhaps quieter than would have been expetced.
