My wife, son and I enjoyed a lovely few days in the Danish capital Copenhagen. Our apartment was located a short walk from Copenhagen Central station that I was able to explore at my leisure. We made excellent use of the Copenhagen Card that permitted unlimited travel on all public transport with no restrictions not only within the city but a fair distance away from it. I found all stations to be open and felt prefectly comfortable wandering around taking photographs even though I saw no other enthusiasts.

Having had our first day exploring the delightful city of Copenhagen I took a walk to explore the Central station. There were no entry restrictions and no suspicious second glances when taking pictures. I found a great deal of diesel hauled services despite the station being fully wired that was odd as I discovered later in the week that the wires were strung well out into the countryside. |

I made two visits to today. The first after breakfast whilst my wife and son were getting ready for the day to Vesterport Station and the second after a busy day of sightseeing to Central station! |

My wife, son and I took a return trip on the train to the historic town of Roskilde about thirty minutes from Copenhagen. The purpose of our visit was to go to the superb Viking ship museum located on Roskilde Fjord. We enjoyed return travel using our great value Copenhagen Card on a double decker train that afoorded great viwes as we travelled through the Danish countryside. |

We took a run on the Copenhagen Metro to the excellent aquarium in the morning. In the afternoon, I made a repeat visit to Roskilde. |

Our journey home from Copenhagen involved us taking the train from Central station to the airport. I also got the opportunity to take soe areal photographs of familar spots as we came in over the UK from the east. |
