Driver & cab, 4411, 07.32 Copenhagen Central-Göteborg Central, Copenhagen Central station
The driver does what all drivers do before they take their train away, check their mobile 'phone! He has just boarded ET set 4411 at Copenhagen Central station ready to work the 07.32 to Göteborg (En. Gothenburg). He will soon close the interconnecting door and get the train away that we travelled on as far as the airport that was the next station.

4411, 07.32 Copenhagen Central-Göteborg Central, Copenhagen Airport-station
Jointly operated and run by DSB and SJ (Danish and Sweedish Railways) Class Et set 4411 pauses at Copenhagen Airport station. It is forming the 07.32 Copenhagen Central to Göteborg Central that will shortly cross Öresund strait on the seven-point five miles fixed link. Initially, it will plunge into the Drogden Tunnel to emerge on to the artificial island of Peberholm and finally complete the crossing into Sweeden on the impressive Řresund bridge. During this journey it will change voltage from a 25Kv to a 15Kv system, enter a new signalling system and change from running on the left to the right. Unfortunately, my wife, son and I were not able to experience this as we had just alighted from this train as the first leg of our journey home to the UK marking the end of a great holiday!

Manningtree, from EZY2446
Taken through the porthole window of easyjet flight EYZ2446 as we descend for our landing at Luton passing over Suffolk and Essex. In this view, the Stour estuary is seen with the village of Brantham in the foreground. Partly obliterated by the cloud is Manningtree. The GE mainline can clearly be seen curving from centre-bottom to centre-right crossing the twin courses of the Stour with Manningtree station just in view.

ECML & Knebworth, from EZY2446
Continuing on the final descent to Luton airport on easyjet flight EYZ2446 finds us crossing the ECML directly over Stevenage with Knebworth and its station in view. Between the railway and the A1(M) ar the manicured fairways of Knebworth Golf Club.

Copenhagen Card tickets
For our relatively short journey from Copenhagen Central station to the airport, we used the Copenhagen card for the final time. I have said it before and make no apology for saying it again, these are fantastic value when visiting Copenhagen and make travel on all public transport so easy and most importantly amazing value.
