Another visit to Liverpool with my wife and son. As usual, we had a smashing time and I got some railway action in. Unfortunately, I had to return early as I had to attend my aunty's funeral in Buckinghamshire.

1. Journey there-05.04.16 The journey there was a little convoluted so as to comply with the cheapest split-ticket fares; but who was I to complain? We went from Milton Keynes rather than our usual Northampton as I was having to return earlier than my wife and son, this made things easier.

2. Liverpool Lime Street & trip to Ormskirk-06.04.16 I had an hour or so observing the comings and goings at Lime Street. Then, I took a return trip to Ormskirk whilst my wife and son explored the delights of Liverpool ONE!

3. Trip to Southport & journey home-07.04.16 On our last full day, we tripped off to Southport to sample its delights. Then, after bidding farewell to my wife and son, I headed home on my own to attend a family funeral next day.
