A long weekend in London with my wife. We had planned and got tickets to see George Benson at the Proms but due to illness, this was cancelled. As the hotel was already booked we got tickets to see Mrs.Doubtfire at the Shaftesbury Theatre as an alternative. Both my wife and I came back with a dose of COVID that knocked us out for a week!

A straightforward journey to London from Northampton. For the first night of our stay, we were in King's Cross just two minutes from the station. After our evening meal, I went to King's Cross for an hour or so whilst my wife watched Love Island which I do my best to avoid at all costs! |

I had the intention of making an early morning trip to Euston to see the steam-hauled Cheshireman charter but, unbeknown to me, it had been cancelled the previous day at extremely late notice. Not realising this until I arrived at Euston to find no charter ECS at platform I made do with the two sleepers and another short visit to King's Cross. |
