764 stabled & 47395, 12.00 Pitsford return, Pitsford station
The 12.00 Pitsford return Sunday working is seen waiting for the RA from the guard with the driver peering back around the curve that makes sighting tricky at the station. The Class 47 is their 'go-to' locomotive at the moment being the only one that is operational from their rather meagre fleet. To the left is 1953 built Ruston & Hornsby shunter 764 'Sir Gyles Isham' that I drove a few months previously as a Father's Day present, see..... https://www.ontheupfast.com/p/21936chg/C385149778/x31-father-s-day-to-nlr-15-06-14

47395, 12.00 Pitsford return working, Pitsford station from buffet car
Taken from the Northampton and Lamport Railway's stationary buffet car positioned in their bay platform 47395 is seen having arrived back at Pitsford with the 12.00 return working. On this end, the Class 47 displays the number it carried for just over a year during 1994 and 1995. For the rest of its TOPS career, it was numbered 47205 that it carries on the other end. When built and released into traffic on 24.07.65 it was numbered D1855 and was allocated to various depots throughout the Midland Region variously between Crewe Diesel and Cricklewood.

DR73307, stabled, Pitsford sidings
The acquisition or hiring of various redundant track machinery is an important aspect of the many heritage lines around the country. It helps with the maintenance of their tracks and when extensions or remodelling is being undertaken. DR73307 is a Plasser & Theurer 07-275 T tamper that has recently arrived on the line presumably in association with their work extending the line south towards their new station at Boughton, see.... https://www.nlr.org.uk/boughton-extension/
