The slow lines south of Northampton near to home in Roade were closed due to engineering works being undertaken that I went to have a look at. Later on in the morning, we went to the Northampton and Lamport Railway (NLR) for a walk on a smashing autumn morning.

1. Trackwork around Roade I had a quick ride around Roade to capture some images of the trackwork taking place. There were two trains occupying both the up and down slow lines with many staff in attendance.

2. Northampton & Lamport Railway On such a smashing autumnal morning it was lovely to out with my wife and son for a walk. The added bonus that it was along the side of our local heritage line just north of Northampton.
