My wife son and I took and May Day Bank Holiday break to Grantham. We stayed at a Travelodge just off the A1 not far from the ECML that enabled me to make two brief lineside visits.

1. A Sunday afternoon visit to the ECML-04.05.14
Whilst my wife and son took some rest and undertook a bit of shopping at the nearby Downtown retail outlet I spent an hour or so on the ECML. I decided to go to a remote and quiet spot I had on my list of places to visit for some time known as Frinkley Lane near the villages of Marston and Hougham.

2. An hour or so on a delightful Bank Holiday morning-05.05.14
The day dawned a beautiful spring day so whilst my wife was taking her usual hour or so to get ready I nipped off from the Travelodge in the car back to the nearby Frinkley Lane.
