Our traditional autumn trip to Norfolk this year was blessed with great weather until the last day! Staying at Kelling Heath near to Weybourne meant that I could do my usual exploration of the North Norfolk Railway and that I could take plenty of photographs. We took a trip to Norwich by train but rather than shopping I took a run out to the coast on one of Greater Anglia's locomotive-hauled services enjoying some Class 37 haulage! As well as the photographs on this site, a number of audio recordings can be enjoyed on my YouTube site.

We took a walk, broadly following the route of the North Norfolk Railway to Sheringham from Kelling Heath. Whilst I took the train back in order to get the car, my wife and son enjoyed frittering away their coppers in the amusement arcades! |

With Greater Anglia still operating its locomotive-hauled services in lieu of poor unit availability whilst my wife and son undertook some retail therapy I undertook some Class 37 therapy! We all took the train from Sheringham to Norwich with me taking a run out to Great Yarmouth. |

Our traditional bike ride to Holt from our accommodation at Kelling Heath found us calling at the NNR terminus station to rest our legs. Whilst my wife and son were preparing themselves for the onslaught I rode out to capture the first few NNR workings of the day. |

On our final day of our Norfolk holiday, we took a trip on the Bure Valley narrow gauge railway from Aylsham to Wroxham. |

I never care too much when a 'going home' day of a holiday is wet! This was the case on today when it absolutely poured with rain so whilst my wife continued with the packing up of our kit in the caravan, I nipped down, donning my waterproof, to see the first steam-hauled service of the day on the North Norfolk Railway. |
