A two-spot morning of railway activity split by a trip to the local DIY store and getting an MoT done of the car. Firstly, I stood in the fields to watch 'Tornado' pass with The Cathedrals Express charter and secondly, I spent a short while at Northampton station recording some scenes prior to its demolition and redevelopment. Oh. yes, by the way, the car did pass the MoT!

On a beautiful April morning, I spent an hour or so in a field near the Northamptonshire village of Milton Malsor waiting to capture the fine sight of 'Tornado' passing on a northbound charter. |

Whilst some preliminary work had started on Northampton station's much-needed re-development it was essentially as it had been since the last time it was re-built in 1966. I decided to capture some images of the old station as all too quickly this will be forgotten as the much larger and more grandiose structure takes shape to replace it. |
