61. LSL's 1Z41 for the last time?-09.09.22

Running for what should be the fourth and final time I stopped off on the way home to photograph LSL's (Locomotive Services Ltd) Friday 'charter'. However, despite being designated as this it is for all intents and purposes a scheduled train that anybody can buy a flat rate ticket for to enjoy a first-class-only journey from London to Manchester via New Street. This comes about as a result of Avanti's slashing of services due to, as they claim, staff being unwilling to work overtime. My response to this is simple, overtime is voluntary and not contracted so the answer is to plan ahead and employ more drivers if your existing ones want more time at home with their families! Avanti has been an absolute shambles and a laughing stock on the network and needs to be stripped of its franchise and the routes returned to state ownership.
