54. The hot weather just goes on & on-12.08.22

Another really hot day with the thermometer reading a healthy thirty-two degrees I took a walk out to Roade cutting to capture some freight. In the evening, after dinner, I walked across the dry and parched fields to Victoria bridge to see the late-running empty coaching stock move for the next day's North Riding and North Yorkshire Moors Railway charter from King's Cross. Whilst I really like the hot weather and days of what seem like endless sunshine the ground is really suffering and as for the water shortages; that's a whole issue in itself.
