Yet another sunny but, not quite so hot day, found me out for a lunchtime walk across the fields from home. In amongst the parade of Class 390s and 350s I recorded four freights and a light engine move in the hour or so I was linesiding.

66431, 10.02 Tilbury-DIRFT (4M07, 24E), Victoria bridge A well-loaded 4M07 Tesco train passes Victoria bridge in south Northamptonshire about twenty miles from its destination at the Daventry International Railfreight Terminal (DIRFT). 92018, 12.28 Wembley ICD-Crewe TMD (0Z92, 21E), Victoria bridge Having worked up to Euston earlier in the week 9018 heads north light engine as the 0Z92 12.28 Wembley Yard to Crewe Electric Depot. 66539, 12.16 Lawley Street-London Gateway (4L46, 2E), Victoria bridge In some sparking summer sunshine 66539 heads south past Victoria bridge between Roads and Ashton with the 12.16 Lawley Street to London Gateway Freightliner. 4L46 is a regular as clockwork lunchtime freight that you can almost set your watch to! 88003, 13.51 DIRFT-Tilbury FLT (4L48, 4L), Victoria bridge 88003 would normally be storming past this spot just south of Roade leading the 13.51 DIRFT to Tilbury Tesco Express but today it was pathed behind the much slower running 4L46 that was Class 66 led. 88003 'Genesis' was running on caution for quite some time with the driver probably champing at the bit given the massive power advantage it has over its diesel counterpart! 66099, 12.19 Tilbury-Trafford Park (4M85, 21E), site of Roade station If looking at this photograph brings on a sense of deja-vu then you are right to pause and think!
