With the prospect of four infrastructure trains passing Roade following overnight engineering works in the Bletchley area, I had to keep my wits about me studying OpenTrainTimes regularly to keep a close eye on their progress. I managed to capture three out of four of them which was pretty good going even if one was a track machine!

66703, 10.53 Hanslope Junction-Bescot (6G50, 4E), Roade cutting
A relatively short infrastructure working passes through Roade cutting lead by GBRf's 66703 'Doncaster PSB 1981-2003'. The 6G50 10.53 Hanslope Junction to Bescot is composed of five discharge ballast wagons and three flats with used track panels on them. I am not sure where exactly the panels were removed but I think that they were from the up or down fast lines somewhere between Bletchley and Hanslope Junction.

390001, VT 09.51 London Euston-Rugby (5G04, 4L), Roade cutting
Pioneer Pendolino 390001 is always recognisable from the front thanks to its gold heart located just below the windscreen. This was applied back in the summer of 2018 when the set was named 'Bee Together' at the start of the city-wide public art experience. It is seen running empty as the 5G04 09.51 Euston to Rugby, the first train to traverse the Weedon loop following an overnight possession.

SB Rail's Class ZWA-Unimat 09-4x4/4S Dynamic Tamper passes through Roade cutting as the 6Q60 11.30 Hanslope Junction to Northampton Castle Yard move. This followed overnight engineering works somewhere south of Hanslope.

66771, 07.00 Denbigh Hall South-Bescot (7G51, 7E), site of Roade station
66771 'Amanda' leads the 7G51 07.00 Denbigh Hall (Bletchley) to Bescot infrastructure train past the site of Roade's former station. The train is composed of a pair of twin jib cranes and a rake of JNA ballast wagons with varying amounts of material loaded in them.
