I had some business to attend to in the morning but with a nice day forecast, I packed my camera and camping chair intending to go lineside for an hour or so on my return home. I had not intended to go to Roade cutting but it made sense and avoided an unnecessary drive bearing in mind the crazy price of fuel at the moment (currently hovering at a just under £2 per litre equating to £9 per gallon for the older ones amongst us!). Despite this, I enjoyed a couple of hours in the sun observing the trains passing me below in the cutting.
