With the prospect of a light engine move passing close to home I timed my Bank Holiday walk with its passage. There was a different service pattern in operation on this day with all trains terminating at and departing from Milton Keynes due to various engineering possessions and HS2 works.

On a gloomy Bank Holiday Monday 350237 leads another unidentified Desiro between Roade and Ashton covering the final few miles of its journey as the 11.14 Birmingham to Milton Keynes service. Due to the complete closure of the WCML and Euston south of Milton Keynes all trains were terminating at and departing from the Buckinghamshire town.

68034, 10.20 Crewe Gresty Bridge-Wolverton Works (16E), between Roade & Ashton
In association with one of the many stock moves to and from Wolverton Works DRS' 68034 heads south between Roade and Ashton. The Class 68 left Gresty Bridge at 10.20 but despite various searches, I could find no reporting number.
