Another Saturday TPE stock move from Manchester to Wolverton Works got me out from home across the fields. Unlike last time when there appeared to be plenty of spotters out to capture it, I saw nobody else today.

68032, 09.35 Longsight-Wolverton Works (5Q70, 23E), between Roade & Ashton 68032 'Destroyer' leads the 09.35 Longsight to Wolverton Works stock move along the up fast line between Roade and Ashton in Northamptonshire close to its destination. This working nearly caught me out as I left home with it arriving at Rugby about twenty minutes early assuming that it would be held as is usually the case. However, on checking RTT during my walk from home it had passed straight through Rugby and was already south of Kilsby tunnel so I had to get a move on! On a sunny day, this position would be tricky with this side of the train in deep shadow but with it being so overcast this spot had to suffice with me running short of time! 66432, 08.02 Tilbury-DIRFT (4M07, RT), Victoria bridge The 08.02 4M07 Tilbury to Daventry Tesco Express is pretty well loaded on this Saturday lunchtime. There have been periods in the last few months when this train has been running very short and light with just a handful of boxes but I suppose this is due in no small part to the economic trading uncertainties being experienced at the moment. 66133, 06.37 Dollands Moor-DIRFT (6M45, RT), Ashton Road bridge Now completed nearly two years ago the bank stabilisation work at Ashton Road bridge near Roade is just beginning to weather a little. 66133 leads the daily 6M45 Dollands Moor to DIRFT bottled water train past the spot that is once again up to its normal length after some months of it being considerably shorter than normal with the train not even running on some days!
