Avanti's 390016 sweeps past the site of Roade's former station working the 9S70 12.40 Euston to Edinburgh Waverley service. It is a remarkable thought that 2022 marks the twentieth anniversary of the Class 390s being introduced into service!

86259, 12.13 Acton Lane Reception Sidings-Rugby Carriage Sidings (0Z88, RT), site of Roade station
Looking particularly shiny after some winter attention 86259 'Les Ross/ Peter Pan' runs light engine through Roade past the site of the village's former station. The vintage AL6 locomotive dating from January 1966 is running as 0Z88, the 12.13 Acton Lane Reception Sidings to Rugby Carriage Sidings. It will stay at Rugby until its next charter duty at the end of February unless it is able to find any other work in the meantime.
