As is becoming more usual, we took the train from Milton Keynes to London. It is more convenient from where we live rather than going to Northampton with easier parking.

321411, LM 16.24 London Euston-Milton Keynes (2K83), Milton Keynes station
London Midland retains a small number of 'dusty bins' for use on local peak time trains. The do look rather dated when compared to the rather more modern designs but have prooved their worth over the years being incredibly reliable. 321411 has just arrived at Milton Keynes with the terminating 16.24 service from Euston.

390009, VT 16.15 Manchester Piccadilly-London Euston (1A52), London Euston station
We travelled up from Milton Keynes to Euston with Virgin making a change from our more usual trips with either London Midland or Southern. Having arrived at Euston on the 16.15 ex-Manchester Piccadilly 390009 stands at the blocks.

Tickets, Milton Keynes-London Euston
Our outward tickets from Milton Keynes to Euston are pretty good value at just £15 for all three of us. This was travelling with Virgin there and back.
