710259, LO 14.30 London Euston-Watford Junction (2D85, RT), London Euston station
On arrival at Euston, the brightly liveried 710259 is seen standing at platform nine. It will soon work the London Overground 14.30 service to Watford Junction.

390134 'City of Carlisle' will soon work the 9G24 14.20 service to Wolverhampton. It is seen at the country end of Euston station in some pleasantly warm and welcome afternoon sunshine.

350118, LN 14.08 London Euston-Birmingham New Street, (1W59, 22L), London Euston station
Our train from London Euston back to Milton Keynes was uncomfortably busy. However, the usual mad dash by passengers from the concourse to the platform once its number was showing on the departures board did not happen as it was displayed extremely early that made for a lot more calm and civilised situation! 350118 and another unidentified unit will work the 14.08 service to Birmingham New Street.

37510 & 66176, stabled, Wembley Yard
37510 'Orion' is just seen tucked in behind 66176 as they both sit idle in Wembley Yard. There have been a number of recent light engine moves by Class 37 up the West Coast Mainline from their base in Leicester over the last few Sundays so I wonder if this was one of these?

66589, an extended layover, Wembley Yard
With some dramatic clouds towering above North London, Wembley Yard manages to catch some strong September sunshine! 66589 is centre stage having been sitting at the head of the 4L52 Garston to London Gateway since the previous day. I am not sure if another 66 took the 4L52 to its destination and if 66589 is still attached to this working because the locomotive worked the 4L91 09.04 (Mo) Wembley Yard to Felixstowe the following morning. Thanks to my friend Mike for helping identify this rather complicated set of moves using his access to TOPS.

Tickets, London Euston-Milton Keynes
The return portion of our tickets from Euston to Milton Keynes. As stated on the day of our outward journey this was not the cheapest journey that we have undertaken to and from London!
