A half-term trip to London with my wife and son. We stayed at the Covent Garden Travelodge making it handy for me to get to Euston and King's Cross stations for two charters on both the Saturday and Sunday mornings.

After taking the train from Milton Keynes to Euston and checking into our accommodation I made an afternoon visit to King's Cross whilst my wife and son experienced the delights of retailing in Oxford Street! |

Whilst my wife and son spent an hour or two spending money on fripperies I went off to Paddington. I was keen to get some more photograph prior to the obstructive wiring to the southern side of the station being installed. A pleasing surprise was the arrival and rapid departure of the Network Rail NMT HST. |

An early morning walk from our hotel in Covent Garden to Euston in order to see the departure of The Cumbrian Mountain Express. It was interesting to see it at its start point as more usually I go out from home to see it passing through Northamptonshire. |

Another early morning jaunt from our hotel in Covent Garden but this time a little later and this time to King's Cross for The Cathedral's Express. Later on, we took the train home from Euston to Milton Keynes. |
