Before my wife and I headed off for a trip to the National Trust's superb Felbrigg Hall I nipped out to see the North Norfolk Railway's first working of the day.

8572, 10.00 Sheringham-Holt, Kelling bank
Formally of Norwich shed (32A) former LNER 8572 makes its customary charge up Kelling bank with the 10.00 Sheringham to Holt North Norfolk Railway service. The autumn colours are looking good in this photograph with the bracken in the foreground turning its characteristic reddish-brown at the end of its growing season. Notice the North Sea at the top of the scene with the coaster making its way towards King's Lynn from Rotterdam according to the vessel-tracking app. on my 'phone.
