We had a very early start for our visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau. Our minibus picked us up from our apartment taking us the hour or so to the town. I will let the images tell the story. On our return later in the afternoon, I spent an hour or so at a grey and gloomy Main station.

1. Auschwitz-Birkenau I have only included the pictures with a railway element to them. Of course, the railways were key to moving the millions of people to the death camps being at the core of the Third Reich's operations.

2. Krakoów Glówny After the horrors of the morning, I spent an hour or so at Kraków Main station. An appropriately grey and suitably dismal end to the day.
