221109, VT 11.43 London Euston-Glasgow Central (9S65, 25L), London Euston station Our train back from Euston to Milton Keynes waits at Euston's platform six. 222109, forming the 11.43 to Glasgow Central, appears to be ostensibly a Virgin train being in their familiar livery but devoid of branding. Avanti West Coast has been operating these units for some weeks now but have made no moves to put their stamp on them. With them to come off-lease soon I suspect that no work will be done to these Voyagers with them going to other operators. 66143 & 66187, stabled, Wembley yard A trio of class 66s are seen stabled in Wembley yard between duties. To the right is 66187 and the left 66143. 66067, stabled, Wembley yard With Wembley stadium's lattice arch at 436 feet high dominating the background 66067 sits in the yard awaiting its next duty. The arch is the world's longest unsupported roof structure being part of the national stadium that was designed by the architects Foster and Partners and that opened in March 2007. Tickets, London Euston-Milton Keynes Central Our tickets back from Euston to Milton Keynes. Again, as per the outward journey two days earlier, the Avanti super off-peak return was far cheaper than travelling with our local operator London NorthWestern from Northampton.
