I nipped to Victoria ridge to see The Flame Train pass then to Birmingham with my wife and son.

1. The Flame Train-am I went to the nearby Victoria bridge to observe the passage of The Flame Train. This was organised by Hexham and Newcastle Youth Ministry Team and took youngsters to a religious celebration at Wembley stadium.

2. Journey to Birmingham The afternoon trip to Birmingham was followed by my wife and son going off shopping in the city I went to Moor Street as it was such a lovely afternoon and this was preferable to being confined to the dungeon that is New Street! However, I did pop back to New Street later in the afternoon.
