28. The Pennine Blackpool Express-13.04.19

A very cold and frosty morning walk across the filed from home to see 86259 heading north but, for a change, working the The Pennine Blackpool Express running with its usual reporting number of 1Z86. This time, the AC electric hauled the train to Blackpool along the newly electrified route. Then steam would take over for a run to Hellifield. After running round, the steam would then take the train back to Preston for the electric to bring the train back South again from Carlisle.
