350117, LM 14.13 London Euston-Birmingham New Street (1Y45, RT), Hyde Road bridge With the Blackthorn still in flower on the embankment, 350117 forms the 14.13 London Euston to Birmingham New Street. It is viewed from Hyde Road bridge in Roade, Northamptonshire. 350373, LM 13.02 Crewe-London Euston (1U32, RT), Hyde Road bridge 350373 takes the up fast through Roade Cutting about to pass under Hyde Road bridge. It is forming the 13.02 Crewe to London Euston working. I like the low but increasingly strong sun of early spring; it gives a special quality of light that I think really enhances images. 47812 & 319456, 15.12 Wolverton Works-Loughborough Brush (5M99), Hyde Road bridge Having made the short journey from Leicester to Wolverton Works earlier in the day, 47812 leads 319456 and two barrier coaches through Roade near to Northampton. The class 319 had been overhauled at Wolverton Works and was being taken to Loughborough (Brush Works) running as 5M99 for further works before going to Northern Trains. It was being towed by Rail Operations Group's 47812 as the 5M99, 15.12 Wolverton Works to Loughborough Brush. The unusual combo is seen passing through Roade Cutting taken from Hyde Road bridge. 90042, 09.32 Felixstowe North-Crewe Basford Hall (4M88), Hyde Road bridge Freightliner's 90042 works the well loaded 09.32 Felixstowe to Crewe Basford Hall (4M88) through Roade in Northamptonshire. Having done a spotlight search on my Mac I have discovered that 90042 is my most photographed class 90! 66024, 14.47 Daventry-Dollands Moor (6M45), Hyde Road bridge 66024 brings the daily 14.47 Daventry to Dollands Moor empty cargowagons 6M45 working through Roade Cutting. The picture is taken from Hyde Road bridge in the village just yards from my doctor's surgery.
