What was I to do? Celebrity 'new build' 60163 was due to pass close to home in Roade but it was a dreadfully wet day with relentless rain from dawn. Had I ventured out the shot would have been very poor and I would have got soaked into the bargain. So still dry and in my pyjamas, I settled on this position from the comfort of my son's bedroom window! The locomotive is just seen through a gap in the trees leading the outward leg The Cathedrals express that left Euston at 07.40 running as 1Z39 and heading for Worcester.
