After some logistical adjustments caused by the dense fog that had descended over Northamptonshire the previous night Andy and I met at my house and walked to a local spot in Roade to capture the passing of another LSL Bue Pullman charter.

90004 & 90013, 02.50 Felixstowe North-Garston (4M45, 38E), site of Roade station
The light is abysmal with the combination of thick fog and it being before 08.00 on a mid-October morning. However, I like a challenge so I have presented this image of 90004 and 90013 leading the 4M45 02.50 Felixstowe to Garston Freightliner service and describing it as atmospheric!

66593, 05.37 Crewe Basford Hall-London Gateway (4L52, 3E), site of Roade station
66593 '3MG Mersey Multimodal Gateway' passes through a very foggy Roade leading the 05.37 Crewe Basford Hall to London Gateway Freightliner. The increase in ambient lighting from the previous photograph is noticeable but with them only being taken five minutes apart.

43055 & 43081, outward leg of the Settle to Carlisle & Coastal Pullman, 07.11 Watford Junction-Carlisle (1Z53, 5E), site of Roade station
For the second Friday on the trot I have managed a photograph of an LSL Blue Pullman charter. Last week's was in considerably better weather than today, see..... https://www.ontheupfast.com/p/21936chg/30061034238/x43058-43050-outward-leg-west-highland In this photograph, 43055 leads the Settle to Carlisle Coastal Pullman charter that left Watford Junction at 07.11. Out of sight through the murk 43081 brings up the rear.

66538, 03.21 Garston-Felixstowe North (4L41, 4E), site of Roade station
The 4L41 03.21 Garston to Felixstowe Freightliner passes Roade emerging from the depths of the fmous cutting. On this foggy autumnal Friday morning regular performer 66538 is leading the train. Following the passage of this train Andy and I made our way home and I headed off to work.
