Having seen the F1 Grand Prix charter bring fans up from London earlier in the day I popped out again at tea time to see their train again.

Class 390, VT 17.20 London Euston-Wolverhampton, Victoria bridge
In some lovely early evening sunshine an unidentified Class 390 Pendoino heads north past Victoria bridge between Roade and Ashton working the Virgin 17.20 Euston to Wolverhampton service.

350252, LM 15.37 Crewe-London Euston, Victoria bridge
On weekdays Crewe/Euston services avoid Northampton taking the 'old' Weedon route but at weekends they do stop at Northampton. One of these Sunday services heads south past Victoria bridge just south of Roade worked by 350252 and another unidentified unit. The 15.37 Crewe to London Euston service will arrive at its destination in about an hour.

150109 & 153375, 16.54 Tyseley LMD-Bletchley CS (5B03), Victoria bridge
The Marston Vale line between Bedford and Bletchley is operated by London Midland units of various types. They operate services for a week before returning to Birmingham for servicing with some other units replacing them These swapovers take place on Sundays as seen here with 150109 and 153375 heading south as the 16.54 Tysley LMD to Bletchley CS 5B03 working. These two units will operate Marston Vale services for the coming week.

Class 221, unidentified down working, Victoria bridge
An unidentified Class 221 Voyager passes Victoria bridge woking a down Virgin service. The quality of light on this late afternoon in June is superb, something that gladdens the heart of man a photographer!

47805, Willesdon Yard-Milton Keynes Central-Northampton-Birmingham New Street Silverstone GP Special (1Z36), Victoria bridge
In glorious evening light 47805 'John Scott 12.5.45-22.5.12' leads the returning Grand Prix charter past Victoria bridge near Roade. Running as 1Z36 it left Willesden Yard stopping at Milton Keynes and Northampton to collect passengers. 47805, with 47832 'Solway Princess' on the rear, then continued on to Birmingham where it reversed to head back to Euston. F1 fans on board would have been disappointed having seen British hopes in the form of Lewis Hamilton come in fourth after having tyre issues.

47832 'Solway Princess' looks smart in its Northern Belle that matches the stock as it passes Victoria bridge between the Northamptonshire villages of Roade and Ashton. It is bringing up the rear of the British Grand Prix charter that will collect passengers at Northampton who will have been brought from Silverstone by special busses. They will then take an extended return trip to London via Birmingham New Street enjoying a sumptuous dinner en route.
