The Cumbrian Mountain Express was again working on a weekday. I managed to capture it on the way to work but it was a shame that, despite it being the day before the summer equinox, the weather was so dull.

 The up 'Highland Sleeper' passes Milton crossing just north of Roade led by 90016. The 19.50 Fort William/20.44 Inverness/ 21.42 Aberdeen to Euston service was bang on time today with the passengers on board no doubt being awoken from their slumber in preparation for arrival into London in about forty minutes.

Class 390, VT 05.33 Preston-London Euston, Milton Crossing 
 An unidentified Class 390 passes Milton crossing between Blisworth and Roade working the 05.33 Preston to Euston service. This is a limited stop 'fast' service that has taken less than two hours to reach this point. Another Virgin Pendolino can be seen working north.

86259, outward leg of The Cumbrian Mountain Express 06.26 London Euston-Carlisle (1Z86), Milton Crossing 
 It may be just a day off the longest day but the weather on this June morning is not reciprocating! 86259 'Les Ross/Peter Pan' is seen passing Milton crossing just north of Roade with the outward Cumbrian Mountain Express. The weekday charter left Euston at 06.26 heading for Carlise with Black 5 46115 taking over at Carnforth.
