350242, LN 13.23 London Euston-Birmingham New Street & 350114, LN 13.24 London Euston-Tring (2T39, RT), London Euston station
Inside the gloom of Euston station, despite the sunny weather outside, a pair of London Northwestern's finest await their next duties. To the left 350114 will work the all-stations stopper service to Tring leaving at 13.24. To the right, 350242 will leave just a minute earlier with the 13.23 to Birmingham New Street. My wife and I travelled on the Birmingham service as far as Northampton.

66504 & 59004, unidentified empty stone train, Wembley Yard
On our way up to London the previous day there was nothing to see in Wembley Yard. On our return, there were a number of wagons and trains that appeared to be laying over with just two locomotives in evidence. 66504 and 59004 'Paul A Hammond' are captured broadside leading a rake of empty stone wagons. With nothing obvious on RTT and my friend, Mike, unable to offer me anything from TOPS the train will remain unidentified. I suspect that it would be heading west back to Westbury and then on to one of the Mendip quarries.

Tickets, London Euston-Northampton
Our return tickets from Euston to Northampton. As usual for London Northwestern, there was no ticket inspection despite with the gaurd spending the entire journey (from London to Northampton that is) sitting in the unused driver's cab in the middle of the train.
