A straightforward journey to London from Northampton. Unusually, there was not a single train or stabled locomotive to photograph in Wembley Yard.

Our train south from Northampton to London arrives at the station. We travelled aboard 350247 working the 08.36 Birmingham New Street to Euston 1Y24 service. Thankfully, the air conditioning in our chosen carriage appeared to be working well on what was a very hot day; this is not always the case on these rather tired units. However, I suspect that nothing will be spent on the 350/2 subset as soon they will be going off lease as the Class 730/2s enter service.

Tickets, Northampton-London Euston
Our outward tickets from Northampton to Euston. Being off-peak they are effectively 'open' tickets but they do give my wife and me a little more flexibility in terms of what trains we choose to travel on.
