66533, 12.13 Felixstowe North-Basford Hall (4M67, 24L), Roade cutting
66533 is dual named as 'Hanjin Express' and 'Senator Express' depending on what side it is seen from in the same way that veteran AC electric 86259 is as either 'Les Ross or 'Peter Pan'. The Class 66 is seen passing through Roade cutting leading the 12.13 Felixstowe to Basford Hall Freightliner service.

66731, 12.29 Felixstowe North-Trafford Park (4M21, 3L), Roade cutting
A second named Class 66 passes north through Roade cutting within a few minutes of the first. This time, it's one of GBRf's finest in the form of 66731 ‘Captain Tom Moore-A true British inspiration' leading the 4M21 12.29 Felixstowe to Trafford Park service. 66731 is still adorned with its Thank You NHS vinyls a legacy, as is its name, of the COVID crisis of 2020.

66175, 13.51 Burton-ot-Wetmoor Yard-Acton TC (6Z45, 13L), Roade cutting
The third named Class 66 in a row passes through Roade cutting leading the 6Z45 13.51 Burton-ot-Wetmoor to Acton Yard spoil empties. It is led by DB's 66175 'Rail Riders Express'. Looking at the wagons as they passed underneath me, it appears that an awful lot of the spoil removed from HS2 works in the London area is being returned there with a lot remaining in the wagons!

221108, VT 16.02 London Euston-Holyhead (1D90, 3L), Roade cutting
Could THIS one be the last? 221108 passes Roade cutting working the 16.02 Euston to Holyhead AWC service. I will keep photographing the Voyagers on the West Coast Mainline whenever I see them as their time is really limited now with the Class 805's now much in evidence.

150006, 10.59 Neville Hill-Wolverton Centre Sidings (5H70, 17E), Roade cutting
An interloper from the north passes through Roade cutting! 150006 is close to its destination as the 5H70 10.59 Neville Hill to Wolverton Centre Sidings move. The unit is going to the works for attention probably relating to corrosion repairs. Either way, this unit, that I have not photographed before, is forty years old this year far outliving the first-generation DMUs that it replaced
