Before dinner, I took a short walk across the field from home to capture the returning Welshpool & Llanfair Railway & Historic Shrewsbury charter. Unfortunately, the sun decided to put an appearance at my chosen spot making everything rather back-lit.

67023, return leg of The Welshpool & Llanfair Railway & Historic Shrewsbury, 17.13 Shrewsbury-Letchworth (1Z09), Roade The return leg of The Welshpool & Llanfair Railway & Historic Shrewsbury charter passes Roade led, as it was this morning, by 67023. This charter ran to almost perfect time both on its outward and return legs, it is actually seven months late! It should have run on 29.09.12 but was cancelled due to the ASLEF/DBS industrial dispute. I hope that those who booked to travel on the original date were able to enjoy the charter today.
