An uneventful journey from Northampton to London but for a very busy train caused by multiple sporting events, a short formed set and an earlier cancellation!

350410, LN 09.06 Birmingham New Street-London Euston (1Y18, RT), Northampton station
Our train to London from Northampton sits at the platform ready to depart. We travelled aboard 350410 at the rear of the 09.06 Birmingham to London service. It was already extremely full when it arrived in from the Midlands with a significant number of passengers waiting to board. The train was full and standing all the way with the guard apologising profusely for the situation. He suggested that we log on to the WMT app. and outline how busy the train was. He handled the situation very well and, needless to say, did not carry out a ticket check!

730027, 10.18 Northampton-Birmingham International (5Q53, RT), Northampton station
The orange trains have arrived at Northampton! Whilst not yet in service 730027 is awaiting to leave Northampton with the 5Q53 return driver training/familiarisation run to Birmingham International. With the first units now in operation between Watford and Euston they are to enter service in the West Midlands at any time. I am not too sure how many of these orange liveried trains will reach as far south as Northampton.

Tickets, Northampton-London Euston
As the train was so crowded, I was unable to take some customary images as we pass Wembley Yard. So, here is the final photograph of the day, the outward off-peak tickets that my wife and I used.
