The passage of an interesting working through my home village in Northamptonshire just happened to coincide with the time that my wife had decided that were to go out shopping! However, she agreed to sit in the car for a few minutes whilst I took my photograph and I even managed to stretch things out a little to see the following working.

56301, 07.44 Chaddesden Sidings-Acton TC (4Z43, 17E), Hyde Road bridge
56301 is the only remaining locomotive wearing the livery of the defunct freight operator Fastline. The company went into administration as part of the Jarvis debacle in 2010 so the paint scheme predates that. Currently leased to DCR and soon to be owned outright by them 56301 is seen passing through Roade taken from the village's Hyde Road bridge leading the 4Z43 07.44 Chaddesden Sidings (Derby) to Acton empty JNA wagons presumably for HS2 work.

66502, 10.59 New Bilton-Willesden Eurotermnal (4R98, 2E), Hyde Road bridge
The second rake of empty JNA wagons heads south through Roade within five minutes or so. Unlike the previous train that had some heritage haulage, this one is a little more conventional with 66502 'Basford Hall Centenary 2001' leading. The train, also in association with HS2 work, is the 10.59 New Bilton (Rugby) to Willesden Euroterminal empties.
