A few photographs taken at Bugbrooke in lieu of the Cumbrian Mountain Express that was my intended target! Unfortunately, a camera malfunction at the vital moment meant that I missed capturing the charter but, these things happen!

Class 390, VT 06.10 Manchester Piccadilly-London Euston, Bugbrooke SPO676565 Catching some early morning light the 06.10 Manchester to Euston Virgin service passes near Bugbrooke on the Northampton avoider route (known as the old line) worked by an unidentified Class 390 Pendolino. After the long months of deep winter by the middle of February the daylight hours are extending enough to take photographs before 08.00. Class 390, VT 07.30 London Euston-Glasgow Central, Bugbrooke SPO676565 Breaking all the rules by taking into the rising sunshine, thankfully tempered by some low cloud, a Class 390 Pendolino passes near the Northamptonshire village of Bugbrooke with the 07.30 Euston to Glasgow Central service. 390126, VT 06.35 Manchester Piccadilly-London Euston, Bugbrooke SPO676565 Doing nothing for its aerodynamic properties 390126 'City of Stoke-on-Trent' passes near the Northamptonshire village of Bugbrooke with its front coupling cover in the raised position exposing all of the complex and possibly now vunrable internals. The Virgin Pendolino is working the 06.35 Manchester to Euston service. I like the weak early morning lighting in this image. 390152, VT 07.20 London Euston-Wolverhampton, Bugbrooke SPO676565 390152 makes an impressive sight as it passes near Bugbrooke in Northamptonshire working the 07.20 Euston to Wolverhampton service. The photograph is taken from a secure area where a footpath crosses the line on a footbridge. There are a number of positions that can offer reasonable images around this spot but a little fence climbing and stretching may be required!
