Following yesterday's dreadful weather and my attempt to get a decent photograph of The Manchester Christmas Markets charter I had another go on this day with the returning empty coaching stock. Whilst it was a little dull at least it wasn't raining and today the stock was double headed!

50049 & 50007, 09.25 Wembley Yard-Burton-ot-Wetmore Sidings ECS (5Z61, 81L), site of Roade station
50049 'Defiance' leads 50007 'Hercules' past the site of Roade station with the empty coaching stock from yesterday's jaunt to Manchester and Preston after its late-night return to Euston. Unfortunately, 50049 leading the 5Z61 09.25 Wembley Yard to Burton-ot-Wetmore working was powered right down at this point due to the train being right behind a local London Northwestern stopper service so the English Electric soundtrack was a little muted!
