I had spotted a mysterious 5Q86 move on RTT and that it was actually running so I popped out from home on a Sunday lunchtime to discover what it was. I ended up being a Class 730 ECS move.

66723, 07.46 Dollands Moor-DIRFT (6M45, 7L), site of Roade station
GBRf's 66723 'Chinook' leads a very long 6M45 'water train' past the site of Roade station. This is a seven-day-a-week working that comes straight through the tunnel to Dollands Moor carrying thousands of bottles of European mineral water. It ends up at Daventry's rail freight terminal for UK-wide distribution. As usual, GBRf's smart presentation of their locomotives is in stark contrast to the tatty and heavily graffitied Cargowagons

730010, 12.33 London Euston-Bletchley (via Northampton) (5Q86, 30E), site of Roade station
I could find nothing about this Sunday morning run from Euston to Bletchley via reversal in Northampton's Riverside sidings. 730010 is seen passing through Roade on its final leg to Bletchley running as 5Q86. It was probably a driver training run of some kind rather than mileage accumulation or testing as this unit was the one that operated London Northwestern's first Class 730 service at the start of the week, see... https://www.railadvent.co.uk/2023/11/new-class-730-trains-enter-service-with-london-northwestern-railway.html
