I just had time before work to pop down to what is known locally as the gravel bridge to capture three interesting morning moves all within about ten minutes of each other.

DR770002, 07.21 Northampton Castle Yard-Bletchley Flyover (6J99, 12L),site of Roade station SB Rail's UNIMAT 09-4×4/4S DYNAMIC (to give it its full name) passes the site of Roade station in the bright early morning sunshine running as 6J99. It was making the relatively short trip from Northampton Castle Yard to Bletchley flyover where it would no doubt be put to use on the East-West Rail Link. 66572, 05.22 Crewe Basford Hall-Wolverton Centre Sidings (4G97, 4E), site of Roade station An interesting little move that I had spotted on RTT was this, the 4G97 operated by Freightliner's 66572. It was the 05.22 Crewe Basford Hall to Wolverton Centre Sidings (for access to the works) that was conveying a short set of former Freightliner MGR wagons for overhaul and conversion. 37884, 05.39 Derby RTC-Wembley HS (0O87, 15E) & 390124, VT 07.30 London Euston-Glasgow Central (cancelled from Preston) (1S42, RT), site of Roade station Rail Operations Group 37884 'Cepheus' runs light engine through Roade as the 0O87 Derby RTC to Wembley HS positioning move. I am not sure what work the veteran Class 37 was heading south for but they have been involved in the conveyance of a number of scrap unit runs to Sims Group at Newport. 390124 heads north on the down fast line working the 07.30 Euston to Glasgow Central, the first down Anglo Scottish AWC service of the day.
