D1935, 18.17 Southall Loco Services-Crewe HS (5Z62, 21E), site of Roade station
What with a frustrating delay (signalling failure) at Milton Keynes and the sky completely clouding over after what had been a really nice day I almost gave up and went back home but I like a challenge! Approaching 21.00 the light has all but gone but as I had made the effort to come out I set the camera's iso to maximum and pressed the shutter! The photograph, which needed a fair bit of Photoshop work, shows D1935 (47805) ‘Roger Hoskings MA' leading the 5Z62 18.17 Southall Loco Services to Crewe HS empty stock. This was the stock used in yesterday's Flying Scotsman charter.
