Instantly recognisable as the record attempting 390044 by its lionheart crest on the front it is seen passing between Roade and Ashton working AWC's 11.15 Wolverhampton to Euston service. Named 'Royal Scot' prior to the record attempt on 17.06.21 I suspect that another attempt will be made to beat the APT's time set in 1984.

Having been involved in railtour duties the previous day, 86259 'Les Ross/Peter Pan' returns light engine to its base in Rugby's former carriage sidings. Having left West Coast railway's Acton Lane facility at 11.30 it is seen passing Ashton Road bridge just south of Roade running as 0Z49.
