Four freights in thirty minutes on a Sunday lunchtime was a strong enough attraction to get me out from home on what was a very foggy and cold December day! Unfortunately, I missed one hearing it pass through the fog over the field and the other simply did not leave Wembley Yard; never mind, it got me out for a walk at least!

The 12.16 1A25 Manchester to London Euston Pendolino service emerges from the fog at Victoria bridge just south of Roade in Northamptonshire. The train is being worked by 390136 that will arrive in the capital in about thirty-five minutes' time.

88004, 09.59 Tilbury-Coatbridge (4S10, 65E), Victoria bridge
A new regular freight flow running on a Sunday is the 4S10 09.59 Tilbury to Coatbridge that passes north through Northamptonshire is a popular one bringing a little more diversity to the line. It usually produces a Class 88, a class not seen that frequently this far south. At a very foggy Victoria bridge between Milton Keynes and Northampton 88004 'Pandora' leads the train with the first half being devoid of any boxes, the rear of the train was more healthily loaded.

57310 & 37611, 12.42 Wembley Yard-Derby RVEL (0M57, 9E), Victoria bridge
57310 'Pride of Cumbria' leads 37611'Pegasus' through the fog at Victoria bridge just south of the Northamptonshire village of Roade. I am not at all sure as to the purpose of the move, running as 0M57, but it did have several posts on the internet so I was able to monitor its progress. I almost missed the passing of the two locomotives running as the 12.42 Wembley Yard to Derby RVEL as it was pretty silent and emerged from the fog catching me out with the camera not ready but I still just managed this photograph.
