Prior to us heading west for a visit to Wells-next-the-Sea I popped out in the morning autumn sunshine to capture the first workings of the day on the North Norfolk Railway.

With a little mist taking the edge off the lighting M56352 and M51192 pass through a sea of bracken on Kelling Heath working the 10.30 Holt to Sheringham service.

92203, 10.30 Sheringham-Holt, Kelling Heath
Version one of the same train.....

With the train placed a little further back and a more wide-angled view the towering exhaust is seen to best effect against a pale blue sky contrasting with the bracken. 92203 'Black Prince' surmounts Kelling bank working the 10.30 Sheringham to Holt service.

Version two of the same train.....

Now using a longer focal length focusing on the train with less of the surroundings reveals more detail. The exhaust has been cropped but with more detail of the locomotive, the emphasis is different. 92203 'Black Prince' leads the NNR's 10.30 Sheringham to Holt at the top of Kelling bank.

I will let you decide what version of what is the same train at the same location you prefer......!
