350368, stabled (new), Northampton Riverside sidings Taken from the lofty heights of Northampton station's temporary footbridge brand new and out of the box 350368 is seen stabled in the Riverside sidings. London Midland have ordered ten of these units to augment their services beyween London, Birmingham, Liverpool and the Cross City route. The arrival of these new units will allow London Midland to withdraw the Class 323s on the latter of these routes. Keywords: 350368 Northampton Riverside sidings
350120, for LM 08.54 Birmingham New Street-London Euston (2Y02) & 350102, LM 08.33 Birmingham New Street-London Euston (1W06), Northampton station A view of Northampton station that will be lost sometime next year as the temporary station footbridge on which I am standing is removed following the opening of the new station structure seen in the background. To the left 350120 arrives as the 08.54 from Birmingham. This portion is then joining the slightly earlier 08.33 ex New Street with the pair then working forward to Euston. London Midland operate a lot of 'cut and shut' services that split and join at Northampton. It only needs one of these services to be a little late for the planned arranagemnts to go wrong! 350266 & 350120, for LM 08.54 Birmingham New Street-London Euston (2Y02), Northampton station 350266 and 350120 will soon join up and work south as the 2Y02 08.54 Birmingham New Street to Euston. The rear unit is standing under Northampton's temporary footbridge in place while the station is completely re-built. Tickets, Northampton-Birmingham New Street My wife and I only needed single tickets from Northampton to Birmingham as we were going to collect and then drive back her new Jaguar.
