Class 390, VT 09.50 Birmingham New Street-London Euston (1B12), Milton Keynes station
An unidentified Class 390 Pendolino passes through Milton Keynes at full line speed working the 09.50 Birmingham New Street to Euston service. It is interesting to note that whilst the subject is pretty much pin sharp the refelection in the Pendolino's screen of the stanchion is shwing some significant blurring.

Whilst 390117 'Virgin Prince' waits to head south at Milton Keynes working Virgin's 09.15 Manchester to London train 350120 arrives with the 09.54 Euston to Northampton London Midland service. Milton Keynes is a busy station with Sothern services and a lot of freight along with the services from the two operators represented here.

In a style reminiscent of photographs that I took in my spotting youth, for example..... https://www.ontheupfast.com/p/21936chg/24037709204/b578-weymouth-bristol-temple-meads 390002 'Virgin Angel' pauses at Milton Keynes. With its coupling cover open exposing the innards to the elements it is about leave working the 1H18 10.20 Euston to Manchester Piccadilly but, at least this is the tail end of the train.

Of all the trains that we could have taken from Milton Keyes to Euston it just had to be a Voyager didn't it! 221143 ' Auguste Picard' arrives at Milton Keynes working the 1A20 07.55 Holyhead to Euston service. Never mind, at least my wife and I were only on this plastic glorified DMU for less than thrirty minutes!

The outward tickets for our trip to London show a very reasonable fare of £13 return; who says the railways are too expensive!
