On a glorious late summer day (the first of a run of such weather as it transpired) I took an afternoon walk across the fields from home. As I had missed the passage of the 'Cumbrian Mountain Express' the previous day I was determined to record the returning light engine at least!

Under perfect blue skies and with a building temperature 390127 races through the Northamptonshire countryside. It is working the 12.18 Euston to Manchester 1H67 service past Victori bridge just south of Roade.

86259, 12.11 Acton Lane Reception sidings-Rugby CS (0Z88, 3E), Victoria bridge
86259 'Les Ross/Peter Pan' runs as the 0Z88 light engine through the sunny Northamptonshire countryside just south of Roade. Having worked the outward and return leg of The Cumbrian Mountain Express the previous day it is returning to its base just to the north of Rugby station in some somewhat overgrown sidings as the 12.11 ex Acton Lane Reception Sidings.
